So it's been a while. Not a whole lot of stuff going on, but here it goes...
My friend Christie Conklin and her boyfriend Chad came to visit us this week and it was a lot of fun! I couldn't take any time off because I had taken off so much time when I was sick. There was no school on Friday, so I took them over to Big Beach after we met El for lunch. It was a fun day! We went to the swap meet on Saturday then drove up to Hana. We stayed the night then did a hike to a waterfall and went to Seven Sacred Pools, then over to Red Sand. It was a lot of fun, but a really long day! So, when you come to visit plan 2 days for Hana! And bring bug spray...I have about a million mosquito bites.
I have had some not so lucky luck. I was sick and had to get antibiotics, as you loyal blog readers know. Not too long after that I found some sore lumps under my arm. I had this happen once before when I was visiting Maui. It got almost the size of a golf ball, so I decided to nip it in the bud this time and go in as early as possible. The doctor said it was probably some kind of staff infection which is apparently very common here. Something about the water. I guess there a lot of heebie-geebies that grow in the water here. All that moist warm air is very attractive to the geebies. So, I try not to load up on the antibiotics, but I didn't want a golf ball growing under my arm so I got a new dose.
While at the doctor he mentioned what type of antibiotic he would be giving me. I was not allergic to it (like a lot of others) and I remembered I had taken it when I was younger so I said, "bring it on." Well, after Saturday night I remember what happened last time I took them...my stomach hurt so bad I thought I was going to die. So I woke up in the middle of the night, after I had a dream a horse was stepping on my chest, with the worst heart burn EVER! It was so bad I guess the acid just ripped me up because it was actually it has been 48 house and my chest still hurts. LAME! It hurts to eat, drink, and breathe.
THEN today a client threw a clip board and hit his target...my head. It hurt and my ear was ringing, I got really tired and groggy so I went to the doctors. No antibiotics this time! He said it was swollen and would be sore and probably bruise, but no nerve damage or something...I don't know I am still a little out of it.
As for Elliot, he is keeping him self busy. He is still Jiu Jitsu-ing and loving it. He designed a cd cover for George Kahumoku Jr- a 2 time Grammy Award Winning Hawaiian slack-key guitar artist. Big time, huh? He also designed a logo for his Jiu Jitsu gym and they really liked it and he is going to be doing more stuff for him. He is excited about that. He also set up for his friends, Tim and Dave, from CA to come over here and have a MMA fight in December.
Still waiting on the loan info. We had to supply them with more information so that's a delay. I guess it always takes long with FHA loans.
Anyway, I will try to be a good little blogger and post pictures of Hana this time!
